Why is the quarterback always the most popular player in the american football team?

im american movies and tv shows its always the quarterback is the bigtime player and most popular. whats with that? Why is the quarterback always the most popular player in the american football team?Usually (+90%) the QB is the single most important player on the field. The QB will handle the ball more than any other player on the team. The QB is in a leadership position. Since the QB is usually the focal point of the offense it's natural that they would be the focal point of a movie.

Having said that a star player from another skill position can on occasion become bigger than the QB in terms of popularity. Still the way football is designed the QB is always going to very important. Unless it's some high school team that runs the single wing or veer offense. all of the time.

Also the QB is usually tall and strong but a person of a normal physical build. They also need to be somewhat bright and vocal. This makes them a better fit as a romantic lead in a film than some huge monster OL or DL or a big dumb meat-head like a LB, for example. Why is the quarterback always the most popular player in the american football team?
The same reason Leonardo DiCaprio is more popular than Billy Zane in "Titanic." (Other than the fact that Zane played the villain (sort of.)

Without either actor, the movie wouldn't be a movie. But it is clear the lead actor is far more important and therefore more popular than the supporting cast. Same for a football team. The quarterback is by far the most important position on the team, it ought to be the most popular. Why is the quarterback always the most popular player in the american football team? They are usually the Team Captain and definitely the overall Team Leader. They call the shots and can veto the coach /offensive coordinator with an audible and the team follows his lead without question.. IF you were to make a movie or tv show about a company you would feature the boss/supervisor more than the production workers.. the meeting room/managerial offices is where all the decisions are made and the overall action is.. yeah it is slow and boring action, but the decisions are made and the workers follow along. you might feature some of the more eccentric workers (such as Billy Bob or Tweeter form Varsity Blues), but overall the start of the play is with the QB and you can't just skip the start of the play or the huddle where he calls the play.. The QB is the lead actor/main character and his team is his supporting cast, some of them may earn/get top billing in the future but they will always win or lose with their QB.Why is the quarterback always the most popular player in the american football team?
The Quarterback is the most important member of the team, being responsible for directing the offense and maintaining the tempo of the game.

That being said, there are plenty of teams where the quarterback is not the most popular player. For example, 49ers (Gore or Willis), Ravens (Lewis), Titans (Chris Johnson), Jets (Revis), etc....Why is the quarterback always the most popular player in the american football team? They have the most responsibility. More risk/reward opportunity. Why is the quarterback always the most popular player in the american football team?
bc they are the people with the most recognizable position and they make us have to deal with idiot spammers like that ryan mallet asshole
