Do american's really write with those yellow pencils like in the movies?

so in all the american movies, u see every single student writing with those yellow pencils with the pink eraser on top. people in america, do people really ALWAYS write with these pencils, and why not pens? i was just wondering because it seems funny that every student is writing with them in every single movie haha. and isn't annoying to keep sharpening them and u'd have to get new ones more often then pens? thanks, curious is all!Do american's really write with those yellow pencils like in the movies?HAHAHA! I don't know if it is like this for every state but I'm from Pennsylvania and I wasn't allowed to use a pen until I was in 6th grade!! And yes we did use those yellow number 2 pencils with the pink erasers!! LoL

Aha yes we doo:) everyone does . Wr use those pencils cos its easy and you can erase any mistakes unlike pens where you have to write over your mistakes or apply white out. And sharpening isnt really a bother . We also use mechanical pencil which is like a pen but instead of ink it has little thin sticks of lead and you dont need to sharpen it , if you strt running out you click the pencil and more lead comes out haha!Do american's really write with those yellow pencils like in the movies?Yes, most people use them! Some teachers require pencils (math) for erasing and stuff as do some teachers require pen .....some just don't care.... I tend to have better handwriting when I use a pencil . With pens it's always sloppy. And our pencils can be different colors and some are mechanical.

people can use their own in america, the pencils arent really as uniform as it seems inmovies. but the schools provide pencils in case anyone needs them and those pencils you see are the number 2 pencils they give out to students who need them

not every student, but a lot. There are also mechanical pencils. In elementary school they make us learn with those pencils, though...where are you from?

Also, pens arent so effective for math.
You have to use #2 pencils for tests in the US and they also teach kids to write using pencils because you can erase.
We have them because the gravity plates I'n America make pens work poorly
I havent used those since I was in like 1st grade lol. We use mechanical pencils here. We cant really use pens much because most people have to take tests on scan trons and you can only use pencil on those
