Are american schools really what they are like in movies?

Like you have all the clicks, the popular people the geeks the anti-socials etc.

Just curious. Are american schools really what they are like in movies? My cousins say they aren't but a lot of american celebrities say they are. I don't know who to believe. Are american schools really what they are like in movies?
I go to one of those all boy's prep(-py) schools. There are the sporty as*holes, the Abercrombie wearing d*cks, the japanese animation nerds, and I. I personally enjoy messing with all of them. Every new school year, I change my "persona" and observe the different groups from within them. I mess around with their relationships, and manipulate them to see what happens. Are american schools really what they are like in movies? To an extent.

There are groups of friends that dress alike and engage in similar activities. But that is why they are friends. At my school there aren't "populars" that only talk to people like themselves.

Movies only make these stereotypes extreme because they make for a good story. Are american schools really what they are like in movies?
american schools are just kids that pair off with friends the groups go from jocks,to super smart kids, to the class clowns, and the cheer leader types and then you have the kids that don't really hang with any one all schools are the same way,Are american schools really what they are like in movies?American schools are more like the cartoon show "South Park."Are american schools really what they are like in movies?
