Why were truckers so prominently featured in the American movies and music of the 70s?
Because in the 1970's the CB radio was the same as todays cell phones. It was THE way to communicate. So when it boomed - the interest in truckers boomed. Therefore lots of tv, radio and movies centered around it.Why were truckers so prominently featured in the American movies and music of the 70s?It was era of the Cb radio and other than trains in the US and Europe and Australia it was the number ! way to move goods cross countryWhy were truckers so prominently featured in the American movies and music of the 70s?They were the cowboys of that time. Hard-drivin', hard-drinkin', independent, always trying to fight The Man, and slingin' their own CB-style lingo. Heck, who DIDN'T want to be a trucker in those days? The only better option was to become a ninja cyborg. Why were truckers so prominently featured in the American movies and music of the 70s?And for long stretches and unholy hours, only the DJ and his music were the companions of these drivers and so the DJ addressed them much too often
