Why does american soceity separate intelligence from physical ability so much?

Okay, let me explain a little: In american movies every smart guy is weak as fawk and couldn't fight himself out of a paper bag. Every strong guy is dumb as a breadbox and would require a feeding tube in the real world.



Why does america have this split, either/or mentality when it comes to intelligence and strength/agility?



The two are tied together very closely, I find...Why does american soceity separate intelligence from physical ability so much?Maybe it's from the idea if one can be successful in one area, why put effort in the other.

But then yeah, for alot of people, both come naturally to them.Why does american soceity separate intelligence from physical ability so much?It's the alpha dog syndrome, if you can't win a war of wits, then you win a war with brawn.



But in actuality, most Americans can accomplish both, they just need to apply themselves.
