Does it pain you to watch American TV shows or movies? Would you much rather watch a movie in a British accent?

An American asking the EnglishDoes it pain you to watch American TV shows or movies? Would you much rather watch a movie in a British accent?Doesn't bother me to be honest. I watch loads of American shows. The only American shows I don't watch are CSI and that kind of stuff, although I watch our crime drama's. I don't really know why, as I watch U.S crime drama films. Perhaps I've just never sat down and watched a whole episode. If it's a good show I'll watch it, regardless of where it's from, apart from sometimes I can't be arsed to read subtitles for foreign films. But that's the beauty of your shows!Does it pain you to watch American TV shows or movies? Would you much rather watch a movie in a British accent?Eww no Britain smd... American PrideDoes it pain you to watch American TV shows or movies? Would you much rather watch a movie in a British accent?I can only speak for myself really but..

Mostly, I barely even notice an American accent when it's on T.V and especially in movies. This is because, there is literally SO many T.V shows that we watch that are American it's just kind a given.

Not to say that we don't distinguish an American accent, for example if there was an American talking in a shop or something people would probably stare and be like.. 'wow... a real-life American O_O' Or if there is an American on a British T.V show (Holby City has an American Doctor) then it is pretty obvious, but since the lot of us have grown up watching American shows you don't really tend to realise that's it's American.

Also just as an extra, when the new Alice in Wonderland movie came out, my friends and I went to see it and we were all like, 'Heh, no way, British accent... this is so weird..' yeah.. it was a bit weird..
