Why movies portrait cheerleader in such a mean way?

I grew up in Spain and never seen this before. In american movies, they show a group of popular cheerleaders passing by an unpopular girl and call her "freak" out of the blue. Is this for real? I know that there must be lots of cheerleaders and popular girls that are nice, the same that I know that bulling exist. But is this portrait any close to reality? Have you ever experience anything like this? Why movies portrait cheerleader in such a mean way?Hollywood rarely creates anything remotely close to life in America.Im glad that you can see past the BS,many around the globe can not and it shines a negative light on my country. Why movies portrait cheerleader in such a mean way?

Bring It ON! =)Why movies portrait cheerleader in such a mean way?Just remember that movies exaggerate everything for drama's sake. When I was in high school waaaay back in 1975, our cheerleaders were more stuck-up than mean. They were too into themselves to even notice other people were out there. Why movies portrait cheerleader in such a mean way?
