So, I don't find it hard to understand. She was talking faster than the average person would. I wish I could help! What has been the hardest american movie for you to understand? 10 p?Speaking fast presents difficulties all right; however, the hardest cases are those 'character' actors who mumbles their words, for effect ? Example :
James Dean --- speaking as if chewing food ..
Marlon Brando --- The God Father, of course ... No wonder he has to kill, he simply could not persuade others because nobody could figure out what he was saying with mumble jumble coming out of his mouth ..What has been the hardest american movie for you to understand? 10 p?For a native speaker, that was not at all hard to understand, because we are used to the way language gets compressed when it is spoken quickly. Our minds fill in the blanks, as when we understand "going to" from "gonna." There was no special accent or slang to deal with in that clip. Just the fast pace. With practice, you will begin to understand more and more of it. Rent videos with patient friends, and stop the film whenever there is something you don't understand, so that they can explain it to you.
