Some of the best may have come from the US, sure. But there are brilliant films from all over the world that definitely deserve to be considered the greatest ever. Apart from those already mentioned above, I can think of quite a number off the top of my head. "Rashomon" (Japan), "Ondskan" (Sweden), "Cinema Paradiso", "Bicycle Thieves" (Italy), "่ Bout de Soufle", "L่ on" (France), "Trainspotting", "The Full Monty", "The Crying Game" and even the Monty Python films (the UK).
These movies are almost always mentioned in "best movies" lists, and I only named the ones I can remember...Is there a famous foreign movie that's considered one of the greatest movies ever made?Grand Illusion by Renoir is considered by many scholars and critics to be the greatest movie ever made.

things like Pan's Labyrinth, The Orphanage (both Spanish), Let The Right One In (Swedish) and Downfall (German) are all famous and incredibly influential.
