Do they show american movies in japan?

The most popular ones are. And sometimes at the same time they're being shown here.Older movies are also shown on TV.Some dubbed in English, some with sub-titles.Do they show american movies in japan? You can watch popular american movies at theater in Japan. Sometimes some movies are not released on theater, though.

If the movie is a big hit in the U.S, the movie will most likely be on screen in Japan sometime later.

When I was in the U.S, I was actually surprised that so many American movies were not released in Japan. I thought Japanese movie companies released most american movies till then. So you may not be able to watch what you wanted to watch if you live in Japan.Do they show american movies in japan?
Yes, they do! Although release dates may be different from the States, probably quite a bit late. There are also options between subtitled/dubbed sittings (in major cities at least).

However, going out to the cinema in Japan is pretty pricey, so I wouldn't reccomend going too often if you're keeping an eye on the pennies!

You can also often watch old (granted, usually quite cheesy) American movies on TV. Older Hollywood stuff I've seen is usually shown on a weekday lunchtime/afternoon, with things like Jurassic Park shown later in the day.Do they show american movies in japan?Yes, they do. Though, a lot of the times, when the movie is coming out on DVD in America, that's when it's playing in theaters here.

They also show movies from other countries, as well.Do they show american movies in japan?
yes!! they were twilight, harry potter and terminator posters everywhere at the movie theatres when i was there!Do they show american movies in japan?oh yes they do!Do they show american movies in japan?
Yes they do at movie theaters in malls, and on TV , I have JCOM. It's Japanese cable with phone, internet and TV cable combination. Of course you have to pay for the english channels, like the Star channels, 301,303, also 239, 246,247, 250,251,252,253, 211(cnn) and so forth. I guess the people who don't pay for cable and just get the free channels don't know what I am talking about. To bad, so sad.

Not exactly as same time as in USA but some first-runs are shown at limited theaters. It depends. Classics and popular ones as DVD are usually shown through rental video shops that are very common there.

Pirated editions are not widely distributed in Japan frankly because of much more strict public enforcement than other Asian countries.
