Are American School really stereotypical like in movies?

Like popular jocks rebels and geeks?Are American School really stereotypical like in movies?I'm an American and I've gone to public, private and home schooled high schools. Yes, there are those stereotypical jocks who play sports, there are the rebels and there are the geeks/nerds. But those only account for a small fraction of the student body. There are your 'average' people also.



I think the reason why you see it so vividly in the movies is because everything is dramatized. You might also be surprised to find out though that the labels don't separate us. There are plenty of nice 'jocks' and actually the people who are labeled as 'nerds' are some of the coolest people I have met.Are American School really stereotypical like in movies?
well at my school, its no musical but everything else is what the stereotypes are. the same kind of people hanging out together. some wanna be gangsters fighting over bull crap. jocks playing it like they own the place. cheerleaders acting like they are not sluts and are total drama queens. high school was a new fun episode each day. most of the time it just felt like a rerun though.Are American School really stereotypical like in movies?I believe that in each country, you have good and bad schools, good neighborhoods and less fortunate ones and at the end, the students, make of each school a good or a bad school.Are American School really stereotypical like in movies?
