just some little town near lochness, where everyone wears kilts, has ginger hair and is called Angus McCloud, and all we eat is haggis and we have all seen nessie and believe in her. funny how that is actually really racist, but no one seems to notice. i dont really mind, i find it hilarious. Why in american movies is scotland...?it's just comedy stereotypes i suppose. it's like we would depict an american eating a hamburger or doh nut and the french with a beret and garlic around their neck lolWhy in american movies is scotland...?
Movies like..?Why in american movies is scotland...?I know what you're saying, they do the same to Ireland. There's one in the cinema at the moment called Leap Year which shows Ireland as being stuck in the 1950s.Why in american movies is scotland...?
Ah bless 'em..lol...it IS funny tho, just like they seem to think that everyone in England talks with a 'bools in the mooth' , plummy accent :)Why in american movies is scotland...?hey, don't take too much offence lol, its just a stereotype, and trust me, almost every country, every state, every nation has a stereotype!
eg, when i went to new york last year, someone asked me where i was from, i said england and they said i was lying because i didn't sound cockney, then they started trying to copy the cockney accent, did some kind of jig (though i had to consider whether it may have been an epileptic fit!) and then they asked me if i had ever met the queen! Why in american movies is scotland...?
Same as Hugh Grant movies set in London; where everyone is white
The reason no one notices is because I think you're just making stuff up.
I'm American, and I've seen tons of American movies in which parts of it take place in Scotland, and I have no idea what you're talking about.
